COMPUTER LAB RULES

Laboratory Rules

All computers in the Computer Lab 1 (N208A) and Computer Lab 2 (N208C) can only be used by all SCE students, unless otherwise stated.

SCE students are lodged with the responsibility to take care of the computers they use. Penalties will be accorded to those who violate regulations and/or who are found to have stolen/damaged facilities therein.

Students MUST follow the Acceptable Use Policies on computing and network resources. Please see details at

A user account must be used by its owner only. Users must not share his/her password with others and are responsible for his/her own user account.

No food or drinks are allowed in the Lab. Students are to maintain the Laboratory in good order.

LAB RULES Wednesday, 31 January, 2007

The Mobile Robotics Laboratory is a RESEARCH laboratory of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of the University of the Philippines.
(1) Eating and smoking is not allowed inside the laboratory.
(2) Excessive noise must be avoided (i.e. when talking or playing music, etc...) must be avoided.
(3) The only students allowed inside the laboratory at any time are the student affiliates (SA's) of the lab. Non-SA's should ask permission to the lab head.
(4) All equipment and supplies inside the laboratory must not be taken outside of the lab.
(5) Cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory should always be maintained. SA's are expected to clean up their work areas before and after working.
(6) Equipment that is not yet in use should be properly turned off and/or unplugged.
(7) No OVERNIGHT is allowed in this laboratory. In instances when overnight stay is badly needed, a written permission for overnight must be made addressed to the lab head stating the reason/s for overnight. The letter must be submitted a day before the intended overnight.
(8) All SA's are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner when inside the laboratory.
(9) All SA's are expected to attend meetings. Additional responsibilities may be given to them as part of their being SA's.
Violations of the aforementioned rules shall be met with punishments ranging from suspension and expulsion from the laboratory.
